He has the matching luggage. I have more pictures of the bike, but I can't find them. Fun fact: UK bikes have the panel with FJR on them, painted red. In the US, the panel is silver. He bought the '14 bike used with 10K miles on it. . . . for $10,800 USD. . . . in '14. So, unless the bike was shipped from the UK, the previous owner switched out the panel. We know that it has been flashed, because there's no speed restriction set. He's had it up to 158, before he chickened out.Yes thats the one. Preferably with full luggage too.
Goes to show what an impossible task manufacturers have when designing seats and screens and how different we all are.Must admit I had a grin similar to the one after my first ever ride on an R1150GS some years back, but.....that was then followed with the grimace from that f.......ing seat. OMG, how did they get away with making that POS for a seat.
I've just ordered a Sargent seat for mine. Depending on the delivery from the USA they think they will be posting it on the 9th July.Seats are a personal thing. Some days I can ride for a couple of hours straight without a twinge, other days I am squirming after 20 miles. There are variable which I think affect seat comfort. For example, with my Halvarssons textiles, I end up wriggling about sooner than if I have my Aerostitch Roadcrafter or leather trousers. I think my butt gets hotter when I wear my Halvarssons perhaps because of the water proofing or because they have Outlast linings.
I would still like to get myself a Sargent or Touratech seat though!
I got a Sargent seat for mine a couple of weeks ago. It’s early days, but it does seem to be an improvement over the oem seat (with the seat mod) because it is firmer, flatter and wider.I've just ordered a Sargent seat for mine. I have done the flat seat mod which was very good, the actual oem seat is comfy enough in the middle, what I was having minor discomfort with was the edges where my legs/inner thigh pressed against what seemed to be a sharp edge. Like many things in life, I felt I needed a bit of extra width.
