I've got the middy VStream on TT adj bracket+factory side deflectors. Mounted so top of VStream is even w/ my nose (factory recommendation) and it all works well. Enuf air hits top of the helmet to work the vents. The vortex thing really works to organise the air around you. Also have a Garmin 665 hung on the TT bracket. Problem w/ the extra weight of the bracket+GPS and added wind screen area is that road undulations and buffeting winds caused movement of the whole assembly so could not read the GPS. Also had to keep re-tightening windshield screws. I think all was caused by (1) rubber mounting screws & (2) the factory base brackets are plastic. Was able to eliminate all vibration/movement by making some stabilizing struts from 3/8" brass tubing. Squash the ends in a vise. Drill holes in the flat parts to grab some mount points. Bottom mount is longer rear side deflector bolt with inside sleeve. Top mount is somewhere high on windshield bracket.

Thats a good idea for support. I installed something like that on the KLR and worked well. Flat bar aluminum hid behind the fairing.
What did you use for the lower support to bolt to?
