Thanks... Ground clearance was important. In looking at several others, I noticed that they where sitting quite low below the pan... That really chews up ground clearance.... My bottom plate is 1/4" 6061... and it is sitting 1/4" away from the bottom of the pan..... My unit verses a bike with out any protection is 1/2" loss in ground clearance......... ::008:: It probably has the most ground clearance with a skid plate VS the others on the market....
They probably cant use 1/4" plate up that close to the engine because its much stronger and is connected to the oil pan. It wouldn't give that easy and destroy the engine mounts that the rest of the guys use... They use thinner material farther away from the case. Its so the bottom material will give, and when it does it wont poke a hole in the pan.....
OUTSTANDING on the ground clearance ::012:: ::012:: ::012:: When can we start ordering this ????

Amazing. Really.

I don't do much "rock threatening" riding. But I would want that kit just for it's engineering.

Holy Cow - Just opened the link. Nice work Tabasco - really nice. I'll never look at my Tenere the same way again.

That changes the entire look of the bike. It always bugged me how the other plates (mine included) looks like an add on, one size fits all kinda deal. I think you have done what everyone else wanted to do - but didn't.

Looks nice but I bet it will be out of my price range. I don't do much serious off-road and to that the flimsy Yamaha plate has served me well so far. If I get braver off road I mught have to look into your plate, nice work. ::008::

The plate is beyond sweet. When will you be ready to produce them?

Thanks,

Chris

Very nice, Jaxon. I have seen with other dirt bikes back in the day that the skid plates make engine noise more pronounced.
I am sure your experience is on many bikes through the years, can you let us know is your new plate about the same as others out there in regards to engine noise.

Also any plans to offer it in power coat blue. gary.
