I've gained enough AZ experience over the last couple years to know you need to recognize the conditions: tires, bike, skills, and terrain to ride within your riding style. My biggest limitation, with this bike and tires, is loose rocky uphill inclines and deep sand. I have to limit my ride selections accordingly. I have no limitations in Illinois beyond mud. I find the Mitas to be very predictable. For me performance is all about the very best traction and braking possible in all conditions for my riding style. I want a tire that I cannot come close to outriding the performance of.
