Anyone know where I can get some adjustable pillion footpegs, preferably in UK but will order from wherever if need be.

On the GS and othe rbikes I have owned I have seen some good items where the peg can be locked in a number of positions moving it forward / down, would like something similar for Tenere, it is another of the small annoyances that these sit so high when (unlike sportsbikes) there i snothing to stop them being a couple of inches lower / further forward.

I'm watching for replies too. (Each time this subject comes up)

The wifey has got long legs. The peg location is her only gripe. She will sit back there for HOURS on this machine.

Someone on here, used a flat foot rest that was used, or made for the FJR. It looked liked those could be modified to mount even lower and maybe moved forward. A search may turn that up.

It looks like it would be easy to fab a lowering bracket, especially if you want the footpeg lower and farther forward, following the same angle as the existing footpeg mount.

It looks like a piece of 3/4" solid steel bar stock to fit in where the footpeg is now (secured with a bolt) and a couple of steel plates at the other end (to make the necessary 'U' bracket) to hold the footpeg, a couple of holes drilled and your done. The steel plates could either be welded to bolted to the other end of the steel bar stock.

Just be careful of cornering clearance.

I agree! I was thinking the same thing after reading this thread and then looking at my bike.

I then
came back to my confuser and you put into words way better than I could have. ::008::

Looks like a easy job for the JAXON.

No doubt Jaxon can solve the dilemma!

But it would be the exact opposite of the previous "easy" suggestion. Instead, it would be perfectly engineered and be just as much art.

I already have to stay away from his website. (except when I need tires, stickers, hydraulic cables, shock spring spacers, ...............)

just called about these and they will NOT fit the S10
Just got an E-mail from them.

Hi Bruce,

Unfortunately, we have verified that our FZ6 rear lowering blocks will not fit the Super Tenere.
Best regards,

Bea @ Moto Werk Sales

Just ordered the FJR ones from motorcyclelarry.com.

Spoke with David there and looks like they should fit. The issue with the motowerks ones are that they are a straight drop and will hit the center stand. The ones at MCL are a forward and drop (2.5 inches forward and 2.5 inches down). I will let ya know how they go, when they go ::015::

Excellent!!

Thanks for guinea pigging for us. Please DO report. :)

Edit: I just went to the website. Those are very nicely done too. Very reasonable price for what appears to be quality bits. Fingers crossed that they fit without fuss.

HA good luck!

I would not call it modifying....I just had to bore the holes out a bit more. The stock pin for the pegs is a bit wider than that of the FJR. It is aluminum, so it drills easy. Took all of 10 minutes to install WITH "modifying"
