After realizing I may only very occasionally leave pavement with my S10, and even then only to travel gravel or dirt roads, I picked up an OEM skidplate and put it on today.
I have to love OEM parts - uses existing bolts/fasteners and went on in about 10 minutes.
Plate itself is of decent thickness, the manner in which it is mounted could not survive a hard bash I don't think. I think it will work okay for what I need, though - keep stray rocks and such from dinging things up.
I saw Nick Sanders' Incredible Ride blue S10 only had the OEM bashplate on it.....and I thought "yeah it will be good enough for me then"
