I'd have to see a mock up of a tank before I'd commit to buying one. Range may be the only important issue for some, but aesthetics are an equally important issue for me. I've seen a couple custom made fuel tanks for V-Stroms and they looked awful, in spite of the extra range they provided.

Since I ride mostly in the middle of nowhere I would appreciate more range. I can always make the next station, but it would be nice to carry more fuel in the tank.

I'd like to have more range. I thought we were gonna get a camel tank but that didn't work out. Maybe IMS will be the answer.

Got an email for him? I remember writing the company last year but don't have the contact handy.
Yes I emailed Back and forth and the called and spoke to him in person on the Tuesday before I posted this message! I"ll Ask about a digital design to get an idea of what it may look like!

I`ll ask how hard a larger then 8.0 tank would be to make after the first mold is done! So what are you thinking 11 gallons?

Interested. 8 gallons or more would help With commuting. And I wouldn't want it to look like crap.
Like someone said years ago this isn't a KLR.

Eight gallons would get it done for me. Lately I'm generally hitting 51-52mpg on the highway, 46 around town. Basically 350+ miles of no fill up highway travel would be great.

You ride a Super tenere and are worried about aesthetics? Are you worried about ruining the flowing, graceful lines, or is it the sense of effortless speed and grace that you're trying to preserve?

I don't think the S10 is ugly, but I believe you could easily make it ugly if you added a bulbous misshapen fuel tank to it. If you think the bike is ugly, so be it; it's all relative. I'm always perplexed when guys say a Ducati Monster is beautiful.

I would be interested, the tank will need to be constructed to leave room around the triple tree to allow for bar backs etc.

The colour doesn't matter clear is fine.

Define "real need". If available in the $500-$800 price range and it didn't look like ass, people will buy them. I'm having an oem tank modified, but at a much higher price range. I have over 11 gallons now with an aux cell, but am moving to needing less fuel and more cargo.

This is one of those things that a vendor is not going to break even on in the short term. But they will sell. The majority of S10 riders just don't want/need more range. That doesn't negate that there is a real segment of riders that would but a larger tank, especially if it was plug and play and looked decent with the lines of the bike.
Agreed! I'd also like one I could see how much fuel was in the tank-translucent color.

I am in the process of making a bigger tank as we speak. I'm shooting for 8 gallons but we'll see, the more the merrier! I'll post pics when its done. I made a 7.3 gallon tank for my DL1000 and it has worked out really well over the years. The S10 tank shape and handle bar access is what is the challenge on this build.

Let's see a computer generated prototype to see what it will look like and a ballpark figure for cost.. Interested depending on price.
