So, i'm just coming up to 600 miles and loving the bike.

I have the 600 mile service booked for start of sept (off for either a two week holiday in France tomorrow [plan A] or camping on the M20 for a fortnight [plan B]).

This bike is better than the test bike i rode but not loving the fuelling between 2-3k revs. Going to speak to CJS to make a plan (since assume its better to finish the break in before i get it worked over on the dyno. Should have a good 2500+ miles on it when i get back from Switzerland in Sept so will probably do then.

Without speaking to Chris at CJS i am leaning towards PCV plus dyno. Still don't get the throttle screw adjust point but will ask him about that too.

Old thread now but thought I'd provide an update. My bike now has 6,500 miles on it but i never did get happy on the surging on steady throttle.

However i've just fitted a Power Commander V and this seems to have resolved my concerns, which related to the bike running too lean in the closed loop. Fuller explanation in this thread http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=17451.msg314462#msg314462

Thanks again for the help folks. Got a trip down through France to Swizterland and back via Germany next month to test more fully :)

Hi Dogdaze - yep heading down last week of June.

I took 3 months off work last year and rode through Africa (4 min highlights here: https://youtu.be/2fvK2CkSfGQ) so missed out (a relative concept!) on the annual Alpine adventure in 2016.

I'm looking forward to getting a week away now - it's been a full on first half of 2017.

We're stopping in Mulhouse on sun 25/6 then two nights in Meringen 26/6 and 27/6 before heading into the Black Forest.

If that works great to say hello - if not i understand. Where you relocating to?

Cheers
Andy
