Just installed the two FIAMM horns, damn they are loud! ::015::'

I told my wife, and she said she'd better hear them first because otherwise she might fall of the bike if she heard them while driving.... So we went to the garage, I pressed the button, and she almost got a heart attack........ ::025:: ::025:: ::025::

Can't wait to use them ::001:: ::014:: ::014:: ::014::

Has anyone mounted the PIAA horns successfully in the stealth location?

On a side note - I strongly suggest to avoid mounting a single FIAMM low-tone horn. I did exactly that on my prior bike (KTM Adventure) and the results were very dangerous. It takes the motor a lot of time to reach full volume (maybe 250-500ms), and it isn't piercing enough to wake up sleeping cagers.

I had a lot more folks moving into my lane and keep on coming even when I laid into the horn continuously. I finally had to switch back to the stock horn.

Just mounted both of my FIAMM horns in the stealth location. One on each side and the mounting(s) are very, very sturdy. In fact the plastic on the left (radiator scoop) side is almost twice as thick as on the right (electrical) side.

They are so stealthy (especially if you paint the silver backs of the horns black), that you cannot even see them!

Here are a few pics....

Hey Steve. I'm getting the stuff together to do this. Approximately where did you your drill your hole from within the electrical side?

If I remember correctly, there is either a recessed or raised bump on the inside of the right-side black inner panel. That is where I drilled. I believe I had to slide off the two fuse-boxes to give me a clear shot at that location. Don't want to drill into the wiring!

Hehe! yeah, I'd rather avoid the wires. Thanks for the info.
