I was hoping to drop in and see them and talk things through over a cuppa, but work has been crazy this past week. I will try to get there Tuesday or Wednesday to discuss options, and if it all makes sense I may well take the plunge.

Regards,

Matt

I just had a brainwave... does not happen often...

If you do go on Saturday maybe I can meet you there? Would be good to cross paths with another S10 rider. I could bring the camera and take some photos of the action to post on here.

Drop me a pm if this seems ok.

Cheers,

Matt

Hi all,

I happened to be passing yesterday, so dropped in for a chat. Thoroughly nice people and I would be happy to use them.

They have done several flashes so far, and the feedback has been great. They are still very much getting things up and running and they are ironing out a few quirks of the system, but they seemed pretty pleased. They have reflashed machines that have previously had PCVs fitted and set up on the dyno, and there has been a further significant improvement in response and feel as well as a few more ponies released.

What they would like to do for my bike is the "full works", so to speak. Simon is keen to do a dyno run with it standard, do the reflash, dyno again, fit a full Arrow system, dyno again, fit a PCV, produce the map and then do a final dyno run. I am waiting for prices on this little lot, but he assures me that it will be sensible and he will do a good deal for doing all the mods at once. It will provide him (and me) with a comprehensive set of charts for all stages to show the improvement of the mods. I just need to see if I can afford it!

Regards,

Matt

I will be interested in the result. I have already fitted the Full Arrow system with a dyno map. So am more interested in the reflash and the the dyno run, just to see how musch difference there is. Keep us posted.

I spoke to ecunleashed today and my s10 isn't getting flashed tomorrow now as they still want to check a few things out. :'(

They want a bike with a pcv so they can have a play around, I think that's you Matt as they mentioned another owner had been in for a chat. My options I'd given myself were for the flash or pcv, not both as undoubtedly then I'd want to start down the lines of exhaust changes and all manner of expensive new toys.

If I get a call saying they're ready to do mine I'll give you a shout to see if you're about for a meet.

Mac.

Hi mate,

Yes they want to have my bike for a week do either could play with it. I am fine with that, but more concerned about the cost with all the toys!

Although the flash can take account of mods such as exhaust etc, they reckon (and I agree) that this will be effectively a "base map" and therefore not optimised for the individual bike. Perfectly good enough, but not spot on. I am fussy and like spot on, so I can see myself going the whole hog. I have permission from Mrs Monty, so we shall see.

It would be good to keep in touch on this, and I hope to see you soon.

Just to let you guys know, Race Engineering have an open day this Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Their burger van will be open and they are doing dyno runs for £10 each. Sounds like a bargain to me.

Hoping to get there if possible.

Well had a nice 466 mile round trip to ECUnleashed on Thursday to have my ECU reflashed. Thanks to Jon and Steve for the great welcome and of course the grand job.

To start my setup

Full Arrow System
K&N Filter
Power Commander 5

Having gone down this upgrade route I was still finding the bike a bit hesitant in the first few gears, so when I found the thread on this site about the reflash I read it with interest. I did not fancy sending my ECU off to Italy or Germany so was glad to hear about the UK side of ECUnleashed, and sent them an email with my setup and interest in their product.

With excellent customer service from Jon I decided to do my nice round trip and get it done. Having read the reviews on here. Am I pleased?

Well the answer to that is absolutely yes. The bike has been transformed. Full power through the full rev range in all gears. Even coming back up the motorway in top gear you can feel the difference. I even think the fuel consumption is better but time will tell on that one. No hesitation at all, pulls like a train in all gears. All I can say is get it done you will not have any regrets. Even if you have a stock bike, it might save you the expense of a full system and power commander. Note to Yamaha offer this as an upgrade.

For the tech heads have attached the Dyno map for your interest.

Any questions fire away.

Thanks again to Jon and Steve top blokes.
