Joe, thanks for setting this up. As far as I know I'm flexible on the timing. I've all over that area on my WR250R but never on the Tenere. Cheryl will probably want to join, but maybe I can talk her into riding shotgun in the Hummer.

@Snakebitten - Come to my place in Southern UT and you've got a room for the night. We can ride down to Vegas the next day, it's only 130 miles. I might even feed and water you.

It's a day ride... Ok, that would be a 24 hour day ride..., and the boring route takes you thru Vegas, which would be sort of pointless to continue up to me. You're still on the invite list. Guest suite is available on short notice and we can probably scrounge up some drinkable booze in the pantry. Maybe a post LV ride side trip?

If you had four days to get to me, I'd suggest Pecos, TX, Show Low, AZ, Jacob Lake, AZ then Ivins, UT with Las Vegas, NV the next day. Or even an extra rest day in Ivins. We'll open the pool up.

Something like THIS With a fun detour in Junction for a little taste of the hill country, then maybe play tourist and check out the UFO Museum in Roswell before hitting the North Rim in the afternoon and spending the night in Jacob Lake so you have a good run over to Carmel Jct for lunch and then Zion N.P. in the afternoon with an end at my place for cocktails and stories. Could be done in three days with less tourist time, and in two full days w/o the detours or tourist time, but you'd enjoy the tourist time and more relaxed ride over four days, imho.
