Got mine yesterday:

Was a short 110 mile ride home. Seemed I could feel the engine breaking in as the miles rolled on. Probably was just me getting used to the bike.

 My dealer had all the stuff show up a day or two ahead of the bikes last Thursday. I held a skid pan for a moment to admire it. Beautifully done except for the mounting points. Did your dealer actually try to order anything with the bike?

Awesome! I was passing through Roseville about 1:30 coming back from a Placerville/Auburn loop, thought about stopping briefly.

I'll probably be the last one to pick up, as our work schedules colluded, and we are leaving the evening of the 24th (my wife and I are driving to Texas to pick up the bike, instead of a fly and ride). So, it looks like I will be picking mine up 8/27...

On a good note, all 10 bikes arrived at D & H Cycle, Cullman Alabama and they are slowly figuring out how to put them together. The key word being slowly - looks like I will have to work on my patience this weekend (I need the practice anyway). I tried to convince them I was only 45 minutes away unlike all the fly-n-ride out of staters but they didn't seem to be going for that. :D

Won't be too much longer.......

Picking mine up late this afternoon. Hopefully will get a few miles in before dark-thirty and going home. Maybe even get a chance for a pic or two.

I haven't gotten a call so guess they are waiting until assembly is done or not calling me since they already know the day I'm getting there--call superfluous then maybe. I'll have to set aside a whole day maybe to do all the farkles after I get it to eastern NC, but that is the fun part too. WooHoo. I will call for the VIN on Friday to give to the insurance peeps here. My additional insurance for the bike (surprised me) is $192/yr with collision/500 deduct. and 500000/500000/100000 coverage. It is bundled with other bikes and car.

Called D&H again, some bikes will be ready for pick up this week. I scheduled my pick up for the 13th, but at least it's on the schedule now. Waiting another week is nothing compared to nearly a year. Now for finding some nice roads for the riding back home!

Is this Karma, or what!

Monkey Butt 300 ride this weekend and I just decided to go for it and borrow a bike (still have not ridden anything since my crash 20 weeks ago) from the dealership (Skagit Power Sports), since the 1098 was going to be too much to start with again.

Then, 20 monutes ago, I got a call from the dealer and he asked if I really wouldn't ride my new shiny black...................................that's when I yelled out in the quiet control room I work in!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! So, my
