CONFIRMED!!!!!! US Delivery Date - New Thread, new info this week

Ok so I don't want to overpromise but I was at the MotoGp this weekend and got hooked up with a very senior person in Cypress (Yamaha USA) who had information. He promised me more details this week so I emailed him this morning to remind him to check as soon as possible as we are all going crazy out here.

The highlight was a tour he took me on through Collins' and Bens' garage during practice.



The Tenere was there of course....with black side panels and the US black seat!


Oh then there is the 25th Anniversery shirt signed by Ben, Collion and Cal. Sweet weekend


I promise that as soon as I get an email from YAMAHA it will be passsed to the group

I suspect that once the first bits of info are released by Yammy USA, the flood gates will be opened and the delivery information will come at us as quickly as our Canuck friends have experienced over the past couple of weeks.

It was the second time I had seen the stock panniers. Really do not like them. I am not sure they will hold up and quite frankly I think they look a bit like the plastic they are made of. Funny bcause the plastic of the Pelican's don't bother me. But like the Givi Treckers when plasticis trying to look like metal it just does not appeal to me. But like all things it is a personal decision. I did see a set of Jesse bags for the first time in person and those were very nice. Expensive but nice

I suspect that once the first bits of info are released by Yammy USA, the flood gates will be opened and the delivery information will come at us as quickly as our Canuck friends have experienced over the past couple of weeks.

STRICTLY AN UNSUBSTANTIATED COMMENT......Now this is totally not verified but part of the conversation I had with this person was that there might actually be a few bikes here but they wanted to get more here to do a big release and not have some people get a bike with a lot of others waiting. STRICTLY AN UNSUBSTANTIATED COMMENT....makes sense though

Same here! I won't be able to tell anyone as I'll be riding it.....A LOT!!!!!!!!

Oh, and the fact that Mr. FedEx just dropped off my lemon buyback check from BMW really gets me fired up to get the bike!!!! ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!!

I agree. Once a word is let out information will come fast. I just hope the flood gate opens soon.

I was at the BMW rally last week and speaking with a gentleman. He seemed to think that the US bound Tenere were on the same ship as the canadian ones. I mention that from the posts here we thought they would come into a different port, so who knows. Can't be long now though. Can't wait.

Why? Seems to me there would be a lot more folks upset if just a handful of PDP guys got their USA bikes and many who ordered at the same time didn't? Now *THAT* could get really, really ugly!

Makes sense to me that Yamaha would want all the early PDP ordering customers to get their bikes shipped to their dealers at the same time.
