CONFIRMED!!!!!! US Delivery Date - New Thread, new info this week

Just goes to show ya' there is no rhyme nor reason to the VIN's in relation to order date, order number, or delivery...

IIRC, HoebSTer, you ordered your S-10 on Sept. 22, 2010, and your order number was 158806, and you're going to get bike # 000323 but it's not at your dealer's yet.

I ordered my Super Tenere on Sept 1, 2010 - three weeks earlier - and had an order number of 155967, and my VIN ends in 000399 and it's on the ground at my dealer's.

Understand, I don't care who gets what number when. Mine's here. Just pointing out that there doesn't seem to be any sort of hierarchy relationship between ordering and delivery.

dirt-dad, if i had to guess, the last 6 numbers of the vin are the units built for this model. I am not positive on this, but, ah hell sounds kinda good!!! Is your vin then 000110? where as mine is 000323 ??? Yammie might mix everything into this, but again who the hell knows???? We couldn't even get a date of when the bikes were being placed on the boats let alone this info!!!

And mine is 0070 - hmm that's cool, maybe I'll call the bike "Bond - James Bond" ) - well anyway, I like to think in the next Bond movie he'll be riding a Super Tenere - it already has all the gadgets!

Just got back from my dealer and he told me it would be delivered tomorrow morning!
I am in SoCal too so maybe we don't have to wait longer.
We will see what happens tomorrow!

Btw my VIN ends in ca000082.
California bikes my have a different sequence I suppose.

My Dealer told me that it will be August 5th. I was bummed out knowing they are in the warehouse in Dallas and it is going to take another week to get them less than 20 miles to Irving Texas.

So I read through this tome of a thread and I was wondering if there has been news for the Northeast? I might have missed the post if there was one with the crazy amount of activity this thread has gotten.

So yea any word in the North East sector? I am itching to rip up Long Island with the ST.

DD did you call Larry or did he contact you? I was an early Sept order and was his 5th order, called him yesterday and he didn't know anything he would call me when he knew something.

I also called him yesterday, he knew nothing at that point. He called me today. Said Yam told him there were 5 bikes being delivered. Did not specify how many were S10s. I was the 3rd guy to buy in Romney. So if you didn't get a call it probably means at least one was not a S10.

I bought mine from Larry as well and I also called him yesterday. He told me he's been swamped with all the emails and calls and that he didn't didn't here anything, I have a feeling next weekend we'll all be there to pick them up. Great photo opportunity for Romneys and us. ;D

On the subject of VIN's, I noticed in this thread long ago when they had a few USA demo bikes in the fleet, this on ended in 006.

One of the 5 that came in today at our shop also ends in 006, but has some different digits and letters earlier in the VIN.
