Emma,

As they say, "It's not if you will fall down, but when you fall down". Yours came waaaay too soon! Sorry to hear of this and all the pain you are going through. Godspeed to you and Mort. I wish you a speedy recovery.

What an unfortunate way to enter the sport. I know from experience how hard the recovery can be. Hopefully all our prayers and best wishes will speed Emma's recovery.

Oh mate ... I'm so sorry to hear your news. I know I'm a bit late to the message and I'm sorry for that. Let me know if there's anything I do to help. My very best wishes to Emma. Keep your chin up.

Just curious; do you and the misses have any little Mortismachines running around? Obviously, no answer required. Hope all goes well with the specialist and the surgery!
Hi, no we don't have any mini MortiisMachines, just a couple of Guinea Pigs, Wicket and Weechee.

Thanks yet again for all the comments, I printed them all off and took them to read to Emma, she wishes me to pass on her thanks and loved all your kind comments.

Emma has now be moved to the specilast hospital and is having her first big operation tomorrow morning, should take around 4 to 5 hours, they may have to go back and do a second operation in a few more day's, hopefully should know alot more tomorrow.

Just got back from the hospital and the update is not great, looks like another 2 to 3 weeks in hospital for Emma and then at least 3 months in a wheel chair, after that it's then a few months of learning to walk again and building her strength back up.

The main operation went ok so fingers crossed she will make a full recovery over the coming months.

Tough times to say the least.

Well she got banged up pretty good. Good to hear the operation went well. The tough part is always the recovery. Hopefully she's on good pain meds to make a little more comfortable; if that's possible. I can't imagine what you're both going through. Keep up the good work Emma, stay strong!

Mortis,

It sounds like she is making progress. My hope is that will continue and she will be able to go home soon. Please keep us posted, you are both in our thoughts.

Thanks guy's, I'm off down the hospital tomorrow afternoon, it's like a 2 and a half hour journey to get there, she is really not liking the London hospital which is not helping the situation. Hopefully we can get her moved nearer to home asap.

I'm glad to hear there is a path available to reach a full recovery. That is good news. Sounds like the journey to that day will be longer and more challenging than preferred, but it is great to know it can be achieved. Stay strong, there is much work to do, but it's all worthwhile.

Hi eemsreno and all the other super ten owners,

I am still out there ;)

Not been about for a long time now, the way things have turned out Emma will unfortunatly never make a full recovery and will always have to walk using a walking stick, won't be able to run or do anything that is classed as high impact, in the future it's also likely she will need more surgery and a likely hip replacement is on the cards..... not really what you want when your in your late 20's. She will certainly never get on a bike or ride again.

For me I do still have my Super Tenere but it's somewhat lonely just riding on your own and the bike has only done 2000 miles in 18 months. Were currently in the process of trying to sell our current house and get something with less stairs to help with Emma's mobility, unfortunatly being in a bad economy and lack of funds is making it challenging.

Just goning to keep fighting through the issues and get on with it :)

Hope you all having a great time with your super tens.

Mortiis
