I can't remember if the brand is the same but I had a set with the same tread pattern on my old KLR and they were terrible off road. The front tire had zero grip and would wash out from under you on sandy and gravel roads. Be careful off road. They did work well on the street.
Which tire was that? We've rambled on about several...

Hey la-motor, any update on how your full bores are wearing? ::008:: ::007::
So far, these tires have been great. ::008:: For some reason though, when they're new, the bike seems to react a little slow/heavy to steering input. I remember though, I had the same experience with the Shinko version of these tires on my VStrom when they were new. As they wear in however, the slow steering seems to either go away, or you just get used to it. I currently only have about 1500 miles on them, all of it on slab, and 550 miles of that was 2up and fully loaded. The front still looks new, and the rear shows minimal wear consistent with the miles and the type of riding that I have been doing. Overall dry pavement performance both in corners and braking have been excellent. I haven't had the opportunity to test them off road or in wet weather so I can't comment on their performance in those conditions. I'm hoping to get at least 8k out of the rear...if I get close, I will definitely buy another set.

I'll jump in here.
My shinko 705's (radial) did ok. Decent on road, pretty good in the wet, decent off road (no heidenau's or mitas that's for shizzle)
Rear was done at roughly 7500km, not great.
The front is wearing well at 11000km, but is feathering quite a bit, so it feels like you're rolling on a knobbie. I'll keep it around till 15xxxkm, and install my new mitas dakar.
