TheHelios nailed it on both counts. Thank you sir for the assist!Rockhopper said:Thanks! I'd obviously wouldn't want the box to leak, so I'd have to get a Gen III.
I'll do some more research on that Plastidip. Seems interesting.
No, I'm afraid not, the instructions showed pics of the case being bolted directly behind the head of the bolt. I am not confident that the torx bolt can do another round of 23lb/ft but it appears that this is the only solution for piece of mind.WJBertrand said:My tool box clears the OEM cases by an inch or so. Did you bolt the hangers for the tool box behind or in front of the OEM pannier brackets?

I got curious so went and measured the vertical distance from the tip of the rear caliper bleeder nipple to the bottom of the box directly above it with the bike on the centerstand and rear suspension completely extended. I got 7.75" or about 1/4" clearance considering the 7.5" wheel travel. This explains the lack of any contact.rotaryracer said:Hi Spork - the Super Tenere has 7.5" of suspension travel in the rear - is that hat you're comparing again? As WJBertrand mentioned, we haven't had any instances of contact, even with the suspension fully compressed and treating SuperTen like a big dirtbike. For typical greenlaning, even two-up, you'll have plenty of clearance.
Thanks!
Jason
Hi Rockhopper - there hasn't been a ton of demand for them (compared to the OEM setup), so we've been bringing them in by special order. Shoot me an email and I can check stock at the manufacturer as well as ETA for our next shipment and advise.Rockhopper said:Rotary, when is are the SW Motech / Black back in stock?
Hi AZ Dean - we personally haven't verified fitment with Jesse racks, but my guess is that it may not fit. If you want to try to mock up a cardboard box to see if it will physically fit behind the rack, I'd be happy to give you the box dimensions when I get to the shop later today. We don't have a bolt-on bracket kit - in a perfect world, one of the existing bracket kits may work, but most likely it will require modification and/or fabricating a completely new set of brackets.AZ Dean said:Has anyone ever verified if these will (or will not) work with Jesse luggage?
Thanks, Jason! I'm looking forward to getting the dimensions. It looks like there's a decent amount of room there, so I am hopeful.rotaryracer said:Hi AZ Dean - we personally haven't verified fitment with Jesse racks, but my guess is that it may not fit. Hi AZ Dean - sorry for the delay. The OEM box measures 10.75" L x 5.625" H (at the rear) x 3.375" W. Let me know how you make out?AZ Dean said:Thanks, Jason! I'm looking forward to getting the dimensions. It looks like there's a decent amount of room there, so I am hopeful.
