Once you mount something to the accessory bar, any bumps/dips/gravel road/vibration, or anything the suspension doesn't absorb, will be greatly amplified to whatever you have mounted. If it's small, lightweight like a voltmeter, you may not notice it. But a larger, heavier item like a GPS you will definitely notice.AZ Dean said:I haven't mounted anything to my accessory bar, but just looking at it, it doesn't seem to be vibrating much. Does mounting things there increase the vibration? I'm also wondering if the tire you happen to be running affects the frequency and amplitude of the vibrations. Seems like it would. I have some semi-shagged BattleWings on my Tenere now, so perhaps that is why I am not getting as much vibration as those with more aggressive tires.
I had my GPS mounted both before and after I installed the accessory bar braces, they made the GPS readable again. And this was using the OEM tires. Well worth the 20 bucks.
Props to Propsoto for making these available. ::012::
