I was at camp hill yamaha talking to the sales guy about the
new tenere and he was told by his regional sales rep that just because
you see an updated model doesn't mean that it will be comeing
to the states . He said he's never said that to me before . ???
Dealership sales guys are infallible, Everything they say is the gospel truth that cannot be disputed.

Oh wait, I think thats the Pope.

I cant wait for March to arrive, with official news from Yamaha.

I realize this is probably not true but thought I
should pass it along anyway . The US isn't a very
big piece of the motorcycle pie :'(

Dudes, I keep telling you, If you all got into demanding and buying exotic 250's you would suddenly have a huge selection at your feet.

You would all be beta testers for the upmarket Chinese and Indians, but still.....

No worse that paying 5 times as much to be a beta tester.

Heres the news of the 2014 US models.....
http://www.cyclenews.com/433/24066/Racing-Article/First-Look--2014-Yamaha-Super-Tenere-And-Super-Tenere-ES.aspx

$15,090 for base and $16,190 for ES and heated grips model.

Dissapointed in choice of colors - gray?!! Wanted the white/black model.

$16.5k for a KTM 1190 sounds like a better deal. Will let test rides decide (once snow clears the ground)
