It appears to me the OEM Oil Filter is where it is hitting and preventing it from moving back into position. Two Yamaha sources have confirmed it is the shorter of the two filters that fit. I will continue to work with Ricochet and keep everyone posted.

Just worked about an hour trying to bolt up a new Ricochet Skid Plate on my 2015 S10 ES. Just can't seem to get it up on all four mounting points. Seems like it is hitting the filter preventing from sliding it back. Have called Ricochet and they have been very responsive and are checking it...
