Was there not three locks under your seat? My 14 had them in plastic bag.

Be careful topping off the brake fluid, it is a hydraulic system, only time it should need more would be a leak or change.The fluid level dropping indicates pad wear. When you replace the pads there will be too much fluid and it will have to be removed.

Timeserts put it back better than stock, steel insert firmly seated. I use them instead of pain in the but heli coils.

I can usually just pull mine towards the outside and they will pop off the lock catch.

Got both, loved the KLR till some seat time on the Tenere. I agree with Bryce, the Tenere will do everything the KLR will do, but the highway is so much better on the Tenere.

I did something to cover all the bases. Not sure if they make one with euro specific plug, but worth checking EBay. Dash infill panel, made at home.
