Thanks Limey! Nice rig. I like the idea of PVC case. Big Blu the locks are for transporting legally I think. When you get to camp build it,unlock it,load it and then sleep in peace, hopefully.
Your right transporting only.

I also carry a Leatherman. Every bear in the Territory, and most bison, know not to mess with me when I have my Leatherman. At those times, the shotgun is irrelevant. Just sayin'. R. ::008:: ::003::

I am enjoying the OGIO Flight Vest for carrying while riding. There is ample room in it for the pistol or pistols of choice for you. There are pouches and pockets for magazines, wallet, and items that need a good home while riding as well. I always wear it under a jacket and choose not to wear it exposed while bopping around town. It has a tactical appearance and I choose not to have the look of a man on a mission

I'm a big strong man; not afraid of any man or beast, but those Leathermans scare the hell out of me!!

I carry a P3AT basically anytime I'm not sleeping. It's basically like carrying a second wallet. If I'm going into a rough area, fishing, hunting, hiking or camping a G36 get's the nod IWB and at times the little P3AT is still in the pocket. I've been carrying for nearly 25yrs now, carrying is ancillary to my daily life and have been thankful that I chose to carry on two different occasions separated by a decade or more.

Have even carried into Canada on one trip. A 12G pump with an over folder stuffed into a molle scabbard strapped to my DL650's engine guard. When in US states that allowed it, it was loaded mag, cold chamber, safe. When in shithole states like the Land of Liberals, it was unloaded, ammo locked in the pannier. When in Canada, it was carried unloaded, ammo in the pannier. Gun was locked to the bike with a cheap bike lock and a trigger lock. When I made camp, firearm was loaded. Spend a month on a bike and everything smells like to food to a bear and yes, 1.25 oz slug at roughly 1500fps can stop all manner of predator, four legged and two legged.

BTW, there was a can of bear spray on the left side engine guard. I was a boy scout,,,,, "Be Prepared" stayed with me! ::008::

When we lived in Alaska I often carried. Normally a 7 shot S&W .357 revolver on my hip. Also carried when on a SnoGo. Always carried a revolver due to the increased reliability and knockdown power of a .357. AK allowed concealed carry without a permit. Now we live in Montana I do not carry. I can get a CCP here by just showing my DD214 showing my military service, guess I should do so.

I see we have another dead thread revival. :D Check the date of the last post before adding to a thread folks. Sort of helps to determine relevancy. Sometimes it's good to awaken an old thread, other times it's better to start a new one. Sometimes just to read and leave it alone. ;)

For those that choose to carry and cross state lines in the US, make sure you understand the carry laws for the states you travel in and how reciprocity works between your state and those other states.

Personally, I have no problem with raising oldies like this, especially when people are so busy it's slow around here.

With more and more states opening up carry laws, it's more relevant now than then. ::008::

Being from California I have to separate and secure the magazine and handgun and that does not bother me for function but pisses me off politically :)

As of recently San Francisco is 100% Gun Dealer Free. Sorta takes the Free out of America the Free.
