Auxiliary Headlight Relay Issue... looking for input.

Good Guess Tobasco! Those wires had all been ripped out and the dealer put it back together and replaced one harness section. He had the wires reversed in the plug, so even though it was plugged in correctly - the constant was going to the relay. I pulled the wires out of the plug and put the...

Auxiliary Headlight Relay Issue... looking for input.

I have an Eastern Beaver PC-8 installed and the relay for the PC-8 is wired into the Auxiliary Headlight Wire so it is switched on and off with the key. I hit a deer last year and smashed the right side plastic and battery box area. I got the bike fixed. However, ever since then the items I...

2014 ES vs. Deer at 85 MPH

Yesterday I joined the club of those who have hit a deer on their bike... I was riding very fast and had virtually no time to react. It was noon and sunny - didn't expect to see any deer... I took the brunt of the impact on the right side covers over the electronics and battery and my right...

    Oil Change

If you use a high quality Motorcycle Specific Oil such as AMSOIL 10W-40 Motorcycle oil, it already has high levels of ZDDP as the EPA regulations on other oils have not impacted this product. I would be concerned about low levels of ZDDP in products such as Rotella T series which has API...

    Picked up my 2014 yesterday - 400 miles on - 1st thoughts...

Clutch is adjustable, at least 4 maybe 5 settings. I think this was also the case on my 2012. If your lever is not, I would be questioning if that is an OEM lever - especially if you bought the bike used. Maybe somebody else can verify if they still have a 2012 if their clutch lever has an...

    Picked up my 2014 yesterday - 400 miles on - 1st thoughts...

I didn't notice a shudder on the other bike that I can recall - I sold it at the end of may expecting my new one to arrive in June. Either way, this one is very smooth. I would say vibration is a non issue below 5,000 RPM.

    Picked up my 2014 yesterday - 400 miles on - 1st thoughts...

2014 ES Arrived yesterday... finally - I ordered it in March and have been itching to get my hands on it ever since. I put 400 miles on the 1st day and I am absolutely in love with this machine. There are numerous improvements from my 2012. Obviously, the big deal is the Electronic Suspension...

    Synthetic Oil Recommendation

All above is completely true; however, the underlying implication is not accurate. The idea that "It all comes from the same sources or base ingredients, so it doesn't really matter which one you choose..." wouldn't fly as a concept in any other area... I'm not sure why it is deemed appropriate...

    2012 Super Tenere --- ***SOLD***

What can I say... this S10 was sitting on the showroom floor last summer as a brand new 2012. I've had it for about 9 months and put on 5,000 and counting awesome miles. No crashes, bike did tip over once on slanted drive way (was sitting still and tipped off center stand when I got off leaving...

    Oil Change Timing ?

I would go ahead and warm it up now and change oil & filter. Then change it again next fall - unless you ride a lot and need a mid-season oil change. Either way, change it again in the fall. I would do the Rear Drive Lube once a year also. I've changed mine a couple of times and it always...

    Oil Change Timing ?

HI JTWY, I live in the North as well. Just got a foot of snow last night and this morning... :-[ The best time to change oil is actually before you put the bike into storage. As you ride some of the additives in the oil become neutralized or used up. This (along with contamination from outside...

AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oil and Gear Lube Provide Super Protection for S10s

Re: AMSOIL Filters The M1-108 Mobil-1 Oil filter is a direct match to the AMSOIL EA15K12 or the WIX 51365. I looked it up in my Cross-Reference Guide. I hope that helps!
