There's no wiring inside. I used the G2 nylon inserts to have bar-end mounting holes; the kit comes with a tap. You'll be glad you changed them! pg

Here's a few pics of the ProTaper Raptor bars installed on my ST. The rise is about an inch higher than stock, perfect (for me) for standing without being like antlers. Also, the sweep is a bit less so my wrists are better aligned. Cable and hose lengths are unchanged. pg

Tough to say, since I'm not in there while riding! Its actually a pretty nicely designed headlight, with all-metal optics (so many bikes these days have plastic reflectors that warp and craze with heat). Adding a vent to the caps (with a water trap) could help getting some cool air circulation...
