Re: hard down shifting thanks for the advice. the hard shifting started after about 3000 miles { 6 days} on a long trip , had oil changed but it still was hard to shift down. But after a day of regular riding {barstow to san diego thru big bear } it was fine again, maybe it's going 100 miles...

I had hip replacement 12 years ago, It takes time and work to get better. Riding is no problem now, The great thing about a new hip it gets better every day no kidding, I got where i could walk 13 miles every day. Good luck. JIM
