Just wanted to take the time to thank all the Veterans out there, anyone serving presently as well. Nov 11 is still a few days away and I would like to get a thread going in the man time to show our support. If you have a picture please post it up, weather it is you, a family member or a friend. Got one that you look at and would like to share it? Post it up.

Never forget.

I spent twenty two years on active duty with Uncle Sam's Misguided Children (USMC). The Semper Fi as opposed to the Semper I is sorely missed. People dedicated to something they believe in, a commonality, probably why I like this forum. Best wishes to all those who have served.

::008:: ::008:: ::008:: ::026:: Remembrance Day here on the 11th. Same Idea, and a very good one. A lot of sacrifices made over the years. Good on you, everyone of you ……… and the families who had to deal with it as well.

Well done. Thank you. R ::020::

So, navynuke, where is Nuclear Power School at now? I went through in 1990 when it was in Orlando...just curious, since they shut that base down.

Thank you for your kind wishes and happy Veteran's Day to all of you. To all you Marines out there, Happy Birthday, Leathernecks!

Photo of me, my son and older daughter taken in 2003 on the day of his commissioning. He's now a Major and she is a Captain; they had two combat tours each. Glad to have them in less worrisome assignments now.

I graduated from nuke school in Orlando in 1982. Awesome program - turned my life around. I did 6 years in the Navy then went back to school and got an EE degree. During my 25+ years as an engineer I've worked with a lot of very smart people, but some of the sharpest guys I ever met were enlisted men in the Navy's nuclear power program. Overall a truly impressive bunch of people.

Thanks to all who have served, past and present, in all branches.
