San Deigo Ride Canceled

As I've been riding my KLR the past few months. it's time to get reacquainted with my Tenere.
I'm going to do a short loop out though the east county, and if anyone would like to ride along, your more then welcome.

Here's the plan:

Sunday Feb 15.
Destination: Boulder Creek Rd. This is a 19 mile easy, graded, dirt road. It's heavily traveled, so it has a lot of stutter bumps.
Going out will me mostly freeway ( I-15, I-8), coming back will be Hwy. 78 and other back roads with my eventual end point being Lake Hodges @ I-15.

2 meet points
North County: Cycle Gear parking lot San Marcos - Nordahl Rd @ Hwy. 78. Leaving here at 7:30 AM.
East County: Chase Bank parking lot Alpine - Tavern Rd @ I-8. Leaving here 8:30 - 8-45 AM. There's a a fast food place in the lot too.

Of course, there will be a stop in Santa Ysabel for pie!

Round trip mileage for me is about 135.

Tentatively count me in, Carl. Of the two meeting points I would pick Alpine, although you'll likely be riding right past my house on your way between San Marcos and Alpine. I could jump in anywhere around I-15 and Poway Road. I'll let you know mid-week if I can make it or not.

Thanks for setting this up. I have not been riding much the last month or so. Sometimes a little outside stimulus helps!

Sounds good! Rode out to Borrego Springs and back on Sunday. From Santa Yzabel took 79 to S2 to S22. Had never taken that route before. Awesome weather, nice roads. Looks to be a little warmer next weekend but still perfect by all normal standards (we're so spoiled here it's not fair).
