I won’t be filing that flange and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else should either. I think the best solution here is to go for one of the systems that strap the sender to the inside of the rim.

Boris, I’d have done you a coffee cheaper :) That rust around the bung is exactly the same on mine and guess what? They’ve never seen it before. I’ve now put ACF50 in there.

It’s definitely corrosion of the Ali that’s coming through the finish on the rim. I will be having a chat with my local dealer to get it sorted. I’ve already made them aware of rust showing around one of the rubber bungs in the frame.

I only ride on the road. This is not a localised mark from a stone it's all the way around the rim on both sides.

After having a high speed blow out on a goldwing I was determined to fit Garmin pressure caps on my S10. They work with the satnav. Any new bike I buy now will have to have them. Garmin say you must not fit their caps to rubber stems. Of course the considered opinion is 'that's a load of crap...

No, I've bought Zega pro panniers and just need the rails now. Dented ones would be better than nothing though :))

I believe it's the 2015 model. It's silver with blue wheel rims and blue fork legs. First registered to the dealer July 2016. I'll ask about the recall when it goes back. Thanks for the heads up.

The linkage is free, it travels it's full travel and springs back. It just doesn't select gears below 4th. The bike has done less than 2K miles

What a let down. I set off on an adventure today and got about half a mile. The gearbox has decided only to give me 4th, 5th and 6th gears :'( Has anyone else had this problem? It'll be recovered and taken in for repair under warranty but not good for confidence.

Just bear in mind if you buy a helmet specific comms system you are tied to it. When it's time to replace the helmet will you buy a different make and dump the comms? Highly unlikely at £300. I would strongly recommend a universal kit that you can move from helmet to helmet. The Schuberth comms...
