Waterproof jeans

Anyone use waterproof jeans? I’ve got some Triumph jeans I’ve been using for a few years and having recently got caught out in a shower I thought I’d look at waterproof ones. I’ve seen some showerproof ones from JTS at a great price of £109 but they are only showerproof until the treatment has to be replenished. This being done by using Nixwax wash in stuff I’m thinking can I just do that with my existing ones?
Any thoughts or recommendations?

I do have supposedly waterproof riding pants with good armor , I’ve actually used a few different brands over the years but if you ride in the rain long enough they all have leaked, last year I bought a pair of Frogg Toggs motorcycle pants that are very easy to slip on over my riding pants, one day I rode 500 miles in the rain and another day I rode 300 miles in the rain, both time my butt got damp but that was it, for years I said I would never buy Frogg Toggs but after using these I’m surprised at how well they actually work, they don’t take up much storage space, I would buy them again.
