Agree, Agree Agree, 2012 gen1 50,000 miles. Stock tune, stock clutch, Clutch jumper in since day 3 , upgraded the suspension after the rear shock blew at 36,000. No other issues. never have had to adjust the valves. Best bike I have every owned.
Not really! Less than a half of a half quart. Never need to add oil between changes and no it does not blow out into my air box. Handles it just fine.

It is a dry sump. Oil level in the tank, what you see in the glass,is not so important.
I change mine and refill with 4 qts. Hate having bottles sitting around with a splash of oil in.

If your putting on Knobbies then you are planning to go offroad. Tire irons won't do much more than rocks will.
Expect even with protection you are going to initiate your wheels to the elements. They will mark up very easily. They are just painted not powdercoated or anadized.
