I've been searching for hours trying to find the major differences between the '13, 14 base and 14 ES.

Besides the '14 ES having heated grips and ES, does anyone have a list of the changes in the 2014 model?

Is cruise control standard on the base?

Thanks in advance!

For 2014, the 1199cc twin features a new cylinder head design, new piston, and new exhaust for a modest increase in horsepower and torque that makes for an even more exciting engine character with more pulling power. The adjustments also result in stronger and smoother acceleration.
Drive Mode has been recalibrated to provide more noticeable difference between the T setting and the S setting.
The windscreen has been redesigned to provide superior wind protection with less wind noise, and the height can be adjusted quickly and easily without tools.
The handlebar position has been moved 10mm closer to the rider, enhancing comfort.
A new easy-to-read meter displays information in a very clear format; mode selection is simple to operate.
The turn signals are now LED, adding to the overall visual appeal of the motorcycle
A new accessory/navigation mounting bar has been added above the meter for rider

New for 2014:

Cruise control adjusts speed via a single push to the switch or, for larger adjustments, by continuously pushing the switch. Application of the brakes, clutch or throttle automatically releases the cruise control function. There is also a resume function that returns the cruise control to the most recent setting.

The turn signals are now LED, adding to the overall visual appeal of the motorcycle.

A new accessory/navigation mounting bar has been added above the speedometer for rider convenience.

The ES gets heated grips along with the electronic suspension.

This is all straight from www.yamaha-motor.com.

Thanks for all the help.

I guess my only other question is places like SW Mototech and Touratech don't have much in regards for the '14. Is this normal and will come later? Like skidplates for example.

Thanks again!

Most of the 2013 accessories will fit without any problems.

Skid plates and pannier frames may need to be different depending on how they mount.

Had a 2012 which is the same as the 2013. Now have a 2014. As far as the differences. The major ones are listed but there must be over 100 differences in all when you consider everything and in 99% of the cases, they are all improvements. Knowing what I know now, I'd always spring for the extras in the 2014.
