Have any of you tried using the Boswe 20i noise canceling headphones on your bike? I would be interested in knowing if they actually did cancel the wind noise.

Same here. Would like to spring for the bose for sound quality. I currently have a custom molded EARSINC solution at about 25db with acceptable sound quality. Those were $200

Nomor,
You are not getting any attenuation. Do you ride with earplugs? If not, try some on your next full day ride and you will not believe the difference. Your ears will love you too.

I have a pair of molded earplugs with speaker in them. I was just wondering if the bose ear devices would be better. I, too, do not want to spend $300 to find out that they are not any better.

Thanks for your responses.

They have a 30 day return policy. Just be sure and buy it from an authorized source, not some kid living in his parents basement.

Of all the rave reviews. I was about to part with $300 for a pair. Till I talked to a friend of mine the other day who "had" a pair, Said he loved them till the sound started intermittently going on and off. Seems they have been lasting customers a couple of years till the wiring breaks and gives out with no way to repair (at least cost effectively). Maybe I'm just to cheap but if they only last a couple years $300 is a little rich for me.

These things work great, so quite and great for listening to music on iPhone. Have been concerned about wiring wearing out but so far so good. Love them.

I have the 20i and really like the noise cancelling. Turn them on and you're darn near floating along in silence except for whatever music you have playing. They are also super comfortable to the point where I forget I'm wearing them. Absolutely the most comfortable ear buds I've worn in a helmet. That said there is always a trade off. They stick out further then some earbuds, so they are a bit tricky to get past the bottom pads if you have a snug-fitting helmet. You need to find a home for the card-sized noise cancelling unit as well. Also, they make a low freq. popping noise when they enounter a sudden pressure drop, I.E. turbulence.

Tenerator,
What helmet do you have? If you carved out some more space in the ear pocket do you think that would be better fit?

I don't know if this will help or not, but I have their airplane headset with noise cancellation and it's amazing. Sitting in a small single engine airplane can be very loud but with these on it feels as if I'm in a sound proof room.

Actually there is plenty of space in the ear pocket. Getting past the tight cheek pads, as you put the helmet on, is the tricky part. I have a Shoei Neotec, so opening the face to allow the sides to flex outward helps somewhat.
