one other thing i do on MX bikes put a pice of plastic from a pop bottle under teh clamp of a perch, this allows it to rotate on impacts . seems to work very well . Just bump with palm to put back to position.

My bars have a bend in them from a drop, I am looking at Renthal Gold fatbar # 819-50 . built for MT09. They are a bit narrower than original. In my MX adventures Pro Tapers bend easily , Renthal can take a drop or 2 before bending . The handguards will need to be adapted by bar end...

Take up feels normal, good position, No excessive stiffness in the clutch pull ( Its hydraulic may not feel if there was ) pulls nicely thru power range, power loft front easily with 2 up riding , ( no slippage or loss there )
