Somehow I really don't think Honda would waste money on engineering showmanship. I have a 2001 Gold Wing that is a snap to remove the rear wheel. Never heard of or had a problem with mine. I would hazard to guess Honda engineers may know a little more than those of us on forums like this...
I must have a Corbin butt. I have Corbin's on all my bikes. Even the DRZ makes day long trips bearable. I rode the Trans American Trail on my KLR with a Corbin and as I recall at the end of each day I was the only one who didn't suffer from a severe case of monkey butt. :))

I have used the Kaoko on several bikes, handy to have on long trips and easy to install. I have a lock similar to the Go Cruise and it works well enough to give your hand a rest. I will probably get the Kaoko for my S10, I know it works well and it costs about $120.00. Each to his own ...
