I bought my lightly used 2013 S10 and it came with a 2 Brothers and I have the stock in the basement. The 2 Brothers was put on with one of Anthony’s ECU flashes.
Previously I had never considered 2 Brothers. I saw them in similar category like D&D. I was always a Yoshimura guy but loved Akrapovic, though I wouldn’t buy just the slip on, I wanted the full system so Yoshimura was what I always chose.
I likened both Yoshimura and Akrapovic as throaty, sexy harmonics. So I was skeptical when I brought home the S10 with the 2 Brothers.
I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t call it overly loud, which I think straight pipes on a cruiser are, but the 2 Brothers slip on accentuates the gruntiness at low speeds without being obnoxious. At higher freeway speeds it starts singing albeit in a bass rather than the tenor of Yoshimura.
If it were my dollars buying a new one, I would still probably opt for Yoshimura, though I don’t want to be lumped in with the noisier sport bikes we have running at all hours of the night, revving high, just to be hooligans. So perhaps the 2 Brothers works for me. But at about the same price as Yoshimura, I might look into the Delvic (sorry about spelling this wrong, but it’s late and I can’t scroll back on n my phone,) but I might look for a Walker though I haven’t seen any listed for S10s. I just know they have a good relationship with Yamaha.
I haven’t heard an Arrow either. Make your decision based on your preferences and budget. I wouldn’t pay over $900 for an Akrapovic slip-on. That’s just me. I would buy sub $500 and spend the other $400 on gear or accessories that can go a long way, like tires, modified/rebuilt rear shock, but most likely a lighter weight but armored jacket for hotter days.
You won’t go wrong with any of the above stated choices. I don’t find the 2 Brothers overly loud, just accentuating the grunting nature of the parallel twin.
Best of luck deciding.
