I have the Yamaha Tech Bulletin (M2011-008R) on the Fuel Pump O-Ring recall that I will try and post (it might be to big).

The part # for the O-ring is 19B-24486-00 if you want to obtain one yourself.

Hi Steve, I just purchased a ST and had to leave it at the dealer yesterday because they wanted to do the recall on the "O ring thing". I got on looking for information on it and came across your post. Is there a link that I missed or maybe the file was to big? I will try to go to Yamaha to check. Mike

Worth posting this photo a second time for the do it yourselfers and in the future, when people want to remove/replace the fuel pump. This is the o-ring that it is all about:

Romney Cycles said that 7 of 8 they have looked at have been installed incorrectly. It is extremely easy to miss how the black ring needs to be installed for both twist and getting the little tabs in place at the same time. The original ring just wanted to pop out of place. Since Yam is doing this for free, it's worth letting them do.

I had my O ring changed on Saturday, Took about 1 hour from drop off to pick up. I went and had breakfast then came back to a completed waiting bike. Very nice.

Thanks for posting that. Do you think it could go in the modification data base?
Good to hear you are done with the studying. Now you have more time to ride, in between snow storms.. lol

How about the S10 "How-To" database instead? I guess I should go put that up...

And of course, Safari on the iPad will not handle the files..... Another reason why I don't like it!!!!

:(
WHAT? They're just zipped up PDFs. You can't save them off and unzip them? I'll just upload the unzipped PDFs. The bandwidth doesn't matter that much anyway.

Where's that "I love Apple" thread we had going on. I need to throw a few logs on the fire. >:D

There are great free readers for the iPad. I use GoodReader. But also EverNote and others are free and easy alternatives. Love my iPad and fits so nicely in my tank bag. ::001::

The PDFs work fine. It just not like the zipped files......l

Thanks Chris!!!
Rod,

The Goodreader app handles PDF, zip, and a ton of other file types. It's one my of favorite apps for the iPad.
