I'm confused. . . . shouldn't that bike be orange?
Thought that might be a question asked...

1. DM finds winter riding too bulky even with electric gear and doesn't care to do it.
2. The BMW has a 12K valve check schedule. Bike is just over 11K now. Since I'm going to pay BMW shop prices for the check, I want it to be closer to 12K when I do it. I want it done before riding season starts.
3. Today was gloomy and low to mid 30s all morning. Sun came out in the afternoon, temps shot to high 30s. Too late for me to get in a satisfying ride on the SAS, but still enough to putt a little more than a 100 miles on DM's bike.
4. Short rides on the SAS leave me frustrated...I want more!

My solution for a little off season, cold weather riding...In addition to my 2018 ES, I bought a gently used 2019 Zuki DR650 for those 30F or as we call them, 0 C days. (Stock knobbies)
I just leave my big ride, (now an Africa Twin) in the barn and take Zuki out for a local burn on a few days that allow...believe me, there's not very many in January or February where I live in Stratford Ontario Canada.
Here's my formula:

I got him covered if he reposts with the bike or we forgive him a rookie mistake! He bruced me before because I was out of cell coverage.

Keep in mind, I'm one step above a luddite. Also, I still use a flip phone. I only use my "smart phone" to take the pics, and listen to music. I remember seeing the bike in the screen, but it may not have been in the shot. Or, I did crop it out. I was going to go and reshoot, but since you've already grabbed. . . . What are we looking for now?

That's funny...I actually considered making my tag a boat ramp...that was on a closed road. So I know where to get it. Just not sure when I'll be on a bike again.

In the same train of thinking. . . . the man made lake I was going to get had covered a road. So. . . . the road ended. . . . as a boat ramp. . . . into a man made lake. :D

Thought about putting the rear in the water too, but the algae looked pretty slick.
