I got skunked at two tracks today with no signage. One sold and just had the lease company sign, the other an old dirt kart track with a sign so faded it was just white and rust. Too overgrown to even get a pic of the track now too. I know of one more, but ran out of daylight.

I'm not picky...even a former motorsport park is good. This year has been difficult for so many businesses, I not about to hold out for one in good, or even in open condition.

Grab:
So. . . . I forced myself to go get some pics in this horrible sunny/67F weather. Apparently this track is out of business also . . . . no gate, or name. Plenty of activity though. Took several pics to prove that it actually was a race track.

Thank you for your sacrifice.
Yes. . . . somebody had to do it. . . . figured I'd take one for the team.

That track was where I had the good fortune, and pleasure, to take my ST1300, and FJR, out on it. The ST did ok, about equal to the RT1200 some of the other guys were riding. But. . . . the FJR. . . . wow! Much better than the Honda, and Beemer in the corners. That heavy slow speed handling became freaking awesome at speed. And, it was only slightly slower in the straight than the big Connie. We suspect that the previous owner had the FJR flashed; there is no speed limiter.

Not surprised. I owned a FJR for a few weeks. You could tell it was an amazingly well designed bike, and would be fantastic on a track. Which is why I didn't keep it. I had to ride at keep my license speeds on streets. Just didn't work for me.

2 hours 38 minutes...I'm impressed.
I needed to test out a new tall windscreen I put on the wife's scooter. It should be a keeper. And hey, the sun was out and I'm retired. Not up to the severe conditions Sierra had, it was only about 54F. ;)

Like I said, this is the reward we get for our summers. But, to be honest, I'd rather have our summers than northern winters. BTDT. You don't have to shovel sunshine.

I get it. I met DM when we were both at Ft Hood for a couple of years. Texas summers never bothered me. I did find it to be the coldest place on earth in January. After getting accustom to a routine 105-107 degrees, getting a rare 28 degree day in January felt pretty darn miserable. Of course being out at the lake by February made it all worthwhile.

Ice skate...snow tire...propane torch...

The idea of testing a windscreen sounds lovely. My possible products to test are no where near as enjoyable.
Snowblower? Nothing says bragging rights in Winter like a snowblower that kicks butt and blows snow back into the street. I grew tired of ice berms when I got off graveyard shift and got to my driveway, only to find I had to spend an hour or more clearing the ice berm before I could get into the garage. Then spend the next morning clearing off 'my' sidewalk per city ordinance. (when I lived in Oregon).

Have one of those, and it is a great machine. But no ice berm has a chance against my 4wd tractor with front end loader.

That's a beast, but I can't see the "Now Hiring" sign anywhere in your picture. ;)
