I added the deflectors after about 1000 miles and they definitely help, they block a lot of wind on the lower torso.
I would buy them again.

How do you like the Givi? I don't want a screen so tall that I have to look through it, but I need a bit more height in order to get rid of the buffeting... from moving around behind the stock screen, it seems like I need a minimum of about another 3 inches. The Givi is 5" over stock... wondering if it's going to be too tall.

How tall are you?
I'm 5'6'',I have it on the high setting and I can still look over it
got rid of the buffering on top of the helmet but it seems like a lil more buffering on the side of the helmet
dont like the L shape indentations on it,probably there to make it stronger
it is made of Lexan, other aftermarket ones are made of aircraft acrylic
the holes for the lower position was slightly off,so I didnt put it on low
getting cold here so not much time for experimenting

Thanks again for the prompt replies, there is more than a little saving to be had purchasing from USA. Just need to confirm they will put them in the luggage when they come over here, but if not I will order for direct postage to UK.

ST I would really like to see some pics if you don't mind. I honestly wonder if mine is defective. It seems way more curved to me than it should. I don't know. Mine definitely comes into contact with the wings. I have been thinking about trying a parabellum but I would like to give this calsci more of a chance.

+1 and I have it combined with the Diapason Racing screen adjuster (similar design to Touratech's but with slighly sexier lazer cut-outs). The CalSci comes close but the winglets don't contact them and no problems of touching the windshield at lock. The lower adjusting knobs on the windshield adjuster are a little tucked away though but no biggie once you decide where it is best for you. Then just tighten them up.

Roger - where did you find the Diapason screen adjuster? Their web site doesn't show anything for the Super Tenere, but I know they make quite a bit of stuff, not to mention ECU programming.

DC Strom.......I took the direct approach. Alerted the Yamaha Moto Shop in Parma when I would be arriving and what parts I was looking for. All the parts were sitting in the glass case in the Parts Department. Think I saw the adjuster on the Italian Super Tenere website where they were describing the pieces that exist for the ST. Basically the unit is very similar to Touratech's just with a lot of zippy cut-outs by lazer eg. Yamaha logo, Super Tenere, and Diapason lazered out. Not functionally better from what I can tell.
It is $130 Euros. Use the woman contact that everyone is using re theiir ECU remapping to sort it out. I don't know what is on the Moto Shop Yamaha Parma website of Diapason's at the moment. Google Translator is your friend. Good hunting.

I installed the Yamaha wind deflectors (purchased from my Yamaha dealer) with the stock shield and it was a nice improvement in quieting the airflow around the helmet.

I then tried placing a 1/2" stack of washers between the lower windshield mounting screws (had to buy longer screws) and bracket to tilt the screen back a bit and that helped some more, ala Madstad...

So, yesterday I decided to order the Madstad bracket with GPS mount.

I have side deflectors and the Yamaha larger screen plus the adjustable windscreen bracket. It all works and fits very nice. I got the side deflectors and the windscreen from Stadium Yamaha as well.

Thanks to Scottie Boy's imput I ordered the side deflectors from Stadium Yamaha, despite the fact that I live in the UK and they are based in the US, the transaction was simple, and they have been posted to family who live in Ohio who will bring the items over to the UK in a few weeks time. A saving of about £50 on the cost of them in the UK. Thanks to all on this forum for your knowledge and willingness to share that knowledge with others of like mind no matter where we live in this ever getting smaller world. And a big thanks to Stadium Yamaha for a trouble free purchase.
