Please tell me where you got your deal from. I'm thinking of buying one! I'm not joking either.

Got mine from Berts mega mall...they only had one in stock. I don't think they have any at the moment. You gotta play a little hardball when making a deal. I was working two dealers against each other to see who could get me the best deal...and my business. If I had waited a little longer, I could have possible gotten a better deal but probably not by much. I did buy an extended warranty and some other things at the time...so either way, they are making money.
The economy is slow and sales are down. Use it to your advantage.

Thank you for the replies...a Yamaha owner I will be very soon!!!! Will check Hollywood tomorrow. Also, Turbo Dave from the ironbutt association reports that Cucamonga is straight up as a dealer also. Berts mega cool dude mall.....well may even give them a shot but do not like getting hammered at the front door by crusty demons of dirt salesmen with green mohawk hair. The leather chairs are nice, so are the big screen TV sets but rather save a few bucks and not have all the fluff and Led Zepplin music. LB motorsports just lost their Honda franchise I am hearing so maybe this is why the Bike is 3K more and the salesman does not know what a canary is. The black one is on the floor for 17995. I want the bags as well as the badass skid plate that a member posted. Thanks again to all. Today is my 7th day as a recovering Harleyholic. Wife wonders why there is no grease on my clothing this week and why switchblade didnt come over for dinner on Saturday. Iam even going to break out my Hurricane Hanna poster from 9th grade!!!!!!!

I came to the Tenere from a Vic Hammer (1634cc) and couldn't be happier

The different seating position is taking a little getting used to, but there is a lot of good info on here to help with anything you might run into.

I was out the door under $14k with 3 years warranty, all scheduled maintenance, and oil changes for 3 years

Scootertrash - You'll never completely get the HD out of your skin, but that's not a bad thing. You'll love the Super Tenere for it's differences and wonder why you went with out the technology for so long. Plain truth is, this bike gets so many things right that it's hard not to wonder why Yamaha waited so long to offer a bike like this to the US.

Say hi to Turbo Dave for me. Glad to see him up and about, still kicking tires and getting out. He's a strait up guy and won't steer you wrong.
