Wife and I just got our bivalet Moderna Fauci ouchies a week ago today. We skipped the second booster and instead waited for the bivalent as our 4th shot. We’re both in our 60s and my wife has some pretty serious preexisting health issues. Neither of us have been sick with Covid, though my wife had a bout of Montezuma’s revenge after a Mexican cruise trip. We had no side effects from the shot other than a little soreness at the injection site.

My education and background is in the area of molecular biology, biotechnology and medical technology. Most of what you read on the net is obviously written and spread by folks with no such background.

Looks like I jumped into the Hiveminded again. So none of you are aware of VAERS and all the young previously healthy athletes dropping dead around the world? Wow. I have worked this entire time with no mask, no vax, no nada. I visit 80 businesses a week and see 100 people a day. No Covid. I am happy that you are happy but this is a little weird.
I'm glad you're a lucky person. It can happen as it has for you, but you must and apparently do accept the associated risk. There are many reports of VAERS data being misused by some anti-vax orgs and people, but read this from Johns Hopkins, a highly respected source of medical information, at least for medical professionals, regarding just what you highlighted. "VAERS data also first surfaced reports of myocarditis following the second dose of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine. After extensive review, scientists determined that the benefits of the vaccine ultimately outweigh the increased risk of myocarditis observed in some of the vaccinated (primarily males ages 12–29).
Moreover, additional studies show the risk of myocarditis to be 16 times greater among those infected with COVID-19 than the uninfected, suggesting that full vaccination is helpful in preventing myocarditis and other complications of the disease." (https://publichealth.jhu.edu/2022/what-vaers-is-and-isnt)

So much for cherry-picking to support one's position, but I am truly happy it has worked out for you.

There are a lot of selectable search criteria/filters on the VAERS site in various drop boxes. It takes close attention and knowledge of the terminology to determine the correct filters to eliminate other vaccines, unrelated variables, etc from the search results.

Crazy that x10 this or x30 that doesn't matter when you actually look at the numbers. Even the CDC admits that a jab(s) provides only additional immunity after you get infected. I think it's more of psychological thing to get people to comply. Sheep will be sheep, I mean sheeple, I mean I like staples.

. . . . Yes, I understand that covid varies widely from person to person. . . .

My original comment still stands. Too many variables from person to person. Even type-O blood shows to be more resistant than other types. Young, healthy athletes suddenly dying? That's been happening wa-a-ay before covid. Which also proves that not everybody is the same genetically.

But, you asked if anybody regretted their vaccinations. We answered. Only to be ridiculed. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. If we're good about our decision, why should that matter to you?

That's not an admission. That's a statement of fact. It was never intended to prevent infection. It was to prevent death. The only people that I personally know that have died from covid, and there's been too many, have been unvaccinated.

Correct the cdc changed this well over a year ago.. actually you have a greater chance to die from the flu then this lab made junk.

U.S. life expectancy in 2020 registered its biggest one-year drop since World War Two, with COVID-related deaths contributing nearly 75% to the decline.

If the "lab made junk" you refer to is covid, sadly, that is not true. I too believe that covid started in a lab, but that's a whole 'nuther conversation. But I don't know anybody that has died from the flu. Like I said, I personally know too many people that have died from covid.

Didn't know there was a spike in July. Our news doesn't even give daily/weekly updates anymore.

Like someone just posted I love your advice but i would advice your to rethink you thoughts. This is a big money grab. I love capitalism but it has its faults. I would advice you to look at cdc stats and how more deaths have been caused by the flu. This is objective facts.
