I'm not sure Omicron meets that criterion.

EDIT: No, you are correct. I misread your post.

[CONTENT DELETED - CW] The demographics of those of us that chose not to take the shot covers all political, social, and education backgrounds. I am an agnostic pro vaccine person. I just don't believe this qualifies as a vaccine. They said get the shot and Covid will be stopped. Then get the shot and Covid will be slowed. Then get the boosters and etc. Some of us have no problem with what you choose to do to your body.
I have no problem whatever with anyone doing anything whatsoever. Whether this is jumping off a cliff or a high building or anything that can end in their fatality or injury. That is their choice entirely. But when their actions effect me or my family ,now that is an entirely different matter. Our family as I have already stated is fully vaccinated and we follow the rules whether we agree or disagree with them. If I need an ICU bed and that bed is taken up by a risk taker, the aforementioned jumper or an antivaxxer I would find that very hard to swallow. We have all taken chances in life but I would hope that I have never put another person in any danger by my (covetous) actions

This thread is like communicating with my 88 year old Aunt. She loves to send long windy texts, but has no interest in reading what you send back. She just loves to pontificate.
I wish you all the best of luck and happiness in the future. I will continue to do what I have done for the last two years, live my life like I always have. My time here has ended.

Just read this morning that Moderna’s vaccine has been granted full US approval. They’re going to market it as SpikeVax. That makes two fully approved vaccines now including Pfizer. I kind of expect the J&J vaccine to eventually be dropped due to its lower efficacy.

I've heard that the J & J can be used by those that can't use Pfizer or Moderna for medical reasons because it is a different type of "vaccine". But, I haven't heard it from anybody in the medical community.

The J&J vaccine is still an mRNA vaccine but instead of synthesizing the mRNA it’s made via recombinant methods and they use a viral vector (adenovirus) to deliver it instead of a polyglycol based encapsulant. This is not to be confused with a conventional killed or attenuated virus vaccine.

Maybe some folks tolerate it better if they are allergic to polyethylene glycol or some such?

So I think I am unsubscribing from this thread. Too devisive. I do believe in the science behind the vaccines but I also agree with our freedom of choice. This virus is here to stay, time to accept it and adapt to it. I will take every booster offered because I believe it will reduce my chances of serious illness. For those who prefer to develop natural immunity, God speed, and best wishes!

I will be happy to take a socially distanced ride with anyone on here. Let's go! See you on the road.

I don't let just anybody get within six feet of me going down the road. :)

I thought we were just speaking our mind(s). I didn't know we were supposed to be pissed off at opposite opinions. I'll try harder next time.

I like to know what the other side thinks. That's how we get to an understanding of each other.

The truth is that I like this forum…although it is a motorcycle forum….there is a wealth of knowledge in general, not only about mechanics and electricity, that is why it is good to be able to read the opinions of others and especially the bases that they use to support their thoughts… later each one will draw their own conclusions in private… but in the end, the truth ends up being a sum of successes and failures

I always enjoy the off topic sections of forums, it gives the place a sense of humanity. I could just read the manual to get all the technical specs.

Anyway, with humanity we will have differences. Some people can't deal with differences for some reason....well I guess we all have to put forth a bit of effort to deal with and understand things that we sense as different.

Being with only people who agree with you might feel good for a bit, but it's no way to move forward in anything in life. Thank you to the many people here with differing ideas and opinions. I agree with some of you, disagree with others and have learned from all of you. I'd gladly sit around a campfire and raise a glass together with any of you.
