Well today I took my Super Tenere to Applebees in Helena MT for a burger, then for a hair cut then to top up so I can leave in the morning for Glacier.

This however is where I have taken her the past few weeks:
Thats impressive. Jealous. Have fun.

Did you do a 50 CC, or were you just trying to get across the country as quick as possible?
I did a 50CC, 48:40 actually, pretty sure I scooped an SS and a BB as well. I'll file it when I get home.

Would have been nice to meet you though understandable. CA-120 / Tioga Pass is beautiful if you are not following a motorhome or trailer. CA-108 / Carson Pass is a beautiful ride. Not sure when you rode these passes but I rode Echo Summit, Luther Pass, Monitor Pass over and back, and Ebbetts Pass on the 4th of July. Need to ride Carson Pass west to east some time soon.
I had just completed the PCH on the 4th, spent the night in Bremerton WA. I am planning to load up the toy hauler at some point and come back to CA during the long MN winter and enjoy the many parks at leisure. When I get back to Sacramento, I'll make it a point.

Rode to the top of Pikes Peak on Wednesday with some friends. Really gets your attention as you ride the highway up to the top and think about the folks who do the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. If you want to see what that is like on a bike, watch this video of Bruno Langlois' run to the top in 2015. He won the motorcycle division this year.

Just back from the Vercours region of the french alps. Below are two of the ride out routes and the run to Limoges.

Arrival at Rencurel for our 4 day meet up

Dinner with Brits, Belgians and a lot of Finns.

Michael, with the long hair, is our token American, he keeps a bike in Heidelberg to ride the Alps. On the left of the picture is John, he has ridden in the Alps every summer for 52 years, these days on a GoldWing.

Looking back on the Col de Rousset.

Jan, from Belgium has been riding his Norton for 40 years. Makes me feel humble.

Pippa and me

On the Col de la Bataille

And a cheezy selfi of yours truly.

Gorges d' Omblèze a great place to stop for lunch :)

Chris, in the blue T shirts' Triumph Tiger, our S10 and Jans' Norton

A few shots of us riding, taken by our friend, another Chris.

3 of us, all on ST's went from Winter Park to Kremmling on dirt roads. Some were county, some were that type you never want to be on when its wet & some 2 track. One of the trails we took started out as washed out & with lots of ruts from other vehicles. Farther down we started running into mud hole after mud hole after mud hole. Thankfully most were dry but there were several big ones that were not. Several of the holes were 2-3 feet deep. I wound up taking a lot of the mud back home with me. 2 of us went down at different spots at zero mph because of how slippery the mud was. I bent my shift lever to the point where I couldn't shift up or down. I'm very glad & had a flexiable end on the shifter. The damage would have been much worse. I had to do some bending back into place to make it work & stay away form the engine case. There were a couple of areas with trees across the road & one spot they were stacked from 2 ft to about 5 ft high with no way around them. We found a nearby canal trail that hadn't been used in a long time. It was leading us away from where we wanted to be. There were downed trees across this trail too that we were able to muscle out of the way. We could see where we should have been down in the valley but there was to much downfall to do any cross country riding. We keep following the canal trail & came out on a little lake with a FS gate that was thankfully unlocked. We went further down the road thru a field filled with cows to another gate :'(. This one had 6 or 8 locks on it with no way around. None of us wanted to go back the way we came. I played with the chain a bit & it fell apart in my hands. One of the locks was not locked after all. ::012::. We continued down the road a bit farther to, low & behold another gate. This one was unlocked, we passed thru & we are on a county road.

We were to take one road over the mountain by Williams Fork Reservoir, but were blocked by a locked gate & a private property sign. We wound up having to back track to WFR & went around it on the south & west sides to make it to Kremmling.

to The Road To The Sun in Glacier National Park:

I actually did the Beartooth and the Chief Joesph Highway a few days earlier but the battery in the damn phone was dead, no pictures.
If you find yourself traveling thru Sheridan, Wyoming tho I highly recommend a stop at the Mint Bar, a real-deal western bar that has
been there for 110 years:
