You need narrow bars to split between cars. If you want to get around in nyc in any reasonable amount of time you have to be willing to skirt the law.I don't know. I like the wide bars for better leverage, and if they fit a gap, so will everything else.
Thats right....riding in the city is a constant fight with cars and drivers, so the standard "relax", straight position of the S10 is not of much help! From the city. Tenere with narrow bars and no/removable small bags would be amazing.
No wonder paris pd runs em.

Impressive!!!!Not today, but last week I returned from a 32 day/12,000 mile trip to Alaska, and the 10-year-old lady didn’t miss a beat and was supremely comfortable. I don’t think I will ever sell her!
It is reassuring to know that she is reliable and Yamaha dealers are everywhere when you find riders stranded for days or even weeks because they can’t get parts to the Yukon or Alaska.
My friend was riYes and no!
I treasure your comment, and this is -one more time- a confirmation this is one of the best RELIABLE adventure bikes around. On those days when I was visiting dealerships and doing my homework to find the "right"bike, The Motorcycle Mall (dealership in North Jersey) made an offer to me to match the price of the S10 with a 2023 KTM 1290 Super Adventure "R" (Thats a $20,900 MSRP Bike), offer I refused to finally made my mind for the Super Tenere. As you mention in your comment, I have read countless stories online about KTM owners going through endless nightmares about electronics failures, dead engines, useless motorcycles stationed for moths and months in dealerships waiting for parts that as some point seem to never come! Not to mention all the BMW Motorrad "recalls" and shaft separation from the engine of $30K + bikes....Not today, but last week I returned from a 32 day/12,000 mile trip to Alaska, and the 10-year-old lady didn’t miss a beat and was supremely comfortable. We went Interstate from Atlanta to South Central Nebraska and then started scenic roads from there. Sandhills, Badlands, Rushmore, Custer State Park & Needles Highway, Devils Tower, Beartooth, Yellowstone, Glacier, Kootenai NF, Lake Louise, Jasper, Alcan, Dawson City, Chicken, Tok, Denali, Haines, Ferry to Skagway, Stewart Cassiar, back down Icefields, Flathead Lake, Lolo Pass, Jackson, Bear Lake, Flaming Gorge, Dinosaur NM, Rocky Mountain NP, and then US 34, 36, 63 through the heartland and into the MO Ozarks, Land between the Lakes, Lynchburg, and home. I only hit the interstate again in the outskirts of Atlanta. About 2/3 camping, 1/3 hotels. Awesome trip.Tell us more. What was your route? Did you go to Prudoe bay? Photos pls.
To counter your point I find the seating position allows you too keep your head on a swivel and dodge idiots.Thats right....riding in the city is a constant fight with cars and drivers, so the standard "relax", straight position of the S10 is not of much help!
Love lake Balaton, I’ve been there many times with my caravan but never on my bike (Yet)
I rode to Budapest after the Brno GP in 2018, and followed Lake Balaton for a while en route to Croatia. Shortly after returning, I received a fine for using their motorway network. Was a genuine mistake, I was unaware a vignette was required. My fault.Love lake Balaton, I’ve been there many times with my caravan but never on my bike (Yet)
1st couple of times we went in the mid 90’s we didn’t need them (or were just lucky and got away with it) We used to go down to Balaton for 10 days after going to the F1 at the Hungaroring, not been for a few years but the plan is to go back for the Grand Prix again next year and call there on the bike when I eventually make my trip to Romania & BulgariaI rode to Budapest after the Brno GP in 2018, and followed Lake Balaton for a while en route to Croatia.
