Is that airfield used for a lot of TV filming?
Yep, there’s a fair bit of filming done there, including within the hangers. There were quite a few old planes and helicopter's dotted about. Was very hot today and everything was a bit of an effort……I was a bit annoyed with myself that I didn’t wander and take more pics.

From Iowa down to NE Missouri. Ran across the RAGBRAI bike riders. Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. About 20,000 riders stretched out for miles.

The wife and I are currently on our usual annual pilgrimage to the highlands. Popped out today past Loch Laggon to The Laggon Coffee Bothy for a wee lunch. Pulled in to find a chap from Oban already parked up. View attachment 114158View attachment 114161
I don't think I have ever seen a guard on the Super Tenere like that white one has on the pipe and water pump. they look nice.

A break from the triple digits heat made for a nice evening ride east of Beale AFB in Northern California. A good example of why Ca is referred to as the Golden State by the color of the dried up winter grasses.

Love my Clearwater LED’s. Helped me spot this rattler crossing the road after dark.

Just a quick one up the highway to a pub for some lunch with a few mates (115km's each way) for the maiden voyage on my S10. Getting used to the multitude of extra switches and gizmos that my old bike didn't have, plus the indicator switch where the horn switch was on my old bike caused a few 'looks' from people around me.
I also found that I need wind deflectors, which I've just ordered.

Further update - traveled through Labrador City and Happy Valley - Goose Bay to Port Hope Simpson. The Trans Labrador was 600 miles of dirt and is now 600 mile of new, excellent (and fast) pavement. The road to Port Hope Simpson is new and paved (was a ferry ride). Tested the distance limits today at 252 mile!

on to Newfoundland tomorrow

Arrived in Manic 5 today en route to Labrador City. Last time was on a KLR - the Super Tenere is great!
