I saw a Youtube video of a test rider on the street doing some wheelies. Any trick to this as far as settings? T/C , S mode etc.
It has torque and launching in first I could see it would be easy but rolling at speed takes a little more technique I think.
(just curious)

If TC is on, the front will hop up but then immediately set back down. T mode, what's that?

1st gear wheelies like crazy, and 2nd if one can find a suitable wheelie bump. At least, for me... I suck at wheelies!

Yep the Tenere wheelies like a thing possessed .... swith off the electronic wizardry and you can either haul it up or use the power. I generally use the terrain to help pick mine up. High stuff on the road is gonna end in tears though ...

Personally I don't find the S10 to be my favorite wheelie bike. My old DL1000 was a much more willing partner for lofting the front end. With the S10 I usually limit the wheelies to riding off the back side of a hump in the road, that does still give me a smile. Wheelies get shut down very quickly in TCS2. If I know a road will provide good little hills I stop and turn off TCS.

Even with the TCS off most of my S10 wheelies look like the ones at the :42 mark in this video. Nothing overly exciting.

traction has to be off (in traction level 2 you can get a short hover before it drops you down) and you will be able to power it up easy in sport in first and second. clutching it up is the easy way to lift the front in a lot of the gears though.

with the fuse mod you should be able to power it up too easy. be careful if you do not know how to control the throttle well!

personally- i am taking all of this slow. i love this motorcycle, and i have never done a wheelie outside of the small traction controlled ones. on the Daytona i got it floaty, but never tried outside of the power. honestly- i am scared due to not knowing how to wheelie well enough yet.

I also am really easing into this bike but I'll be popping it up a little soon enough. Its always a treat to show the cruisers what they are missing out on as their sleds front wheels are planted like a locomotive.
Thanks for tips guys and have fun, I know I sure am.

The best is TC off and S mode but sometimes with TC on you can do this (probably the luggage hepeld ;)):

If I launch from the lights in TC2 it feels like a Kangaroo as the front comes up ::014:: then the front drops ::014:: then the front comes up ::014:: as I bounce ::014:: off down the road, much better with the TC OFF and cannot help you with T mode as I never use it.

I believe the fines here in Florida are in the $1k-$2k range if you get caught with the front wheel in the air. So I keep mine on the ground.

I'd move!

Yep, TC off and S is all that's required, no clutching required. ::008:: Pluric's wheelie shot was probably a photoshop job. :D

I can assure you that in both tc1 and tc2 you can haul up huge wheelies, but it is all in the technique so that 1, it comes up at all, and 2, it holds it out. All in all, it is just much easier to do it without TC all together.

I wish I could! Definitely not the bikes fault. Couldn'tt even do a good long one on an ATV years ago.
