Those are really nice....too bad it's a custom job. I might just have to make a pattern and hack them out on sheet of that reflective material once I get my side cases. 8)

It's not really that custom, most of the custom part was just my buddy visualizing it and laying it right. He was the one that thought it would be neat to oversize them, so they wrapped around. I think it looks great. He also knew where to trim, which is kind of self explanatory once you are doing it, but he was precise and confident because he does it for a living. The stickers are just the logo, he gave me another set I can measure if you want to know the size of the circle. Here is a picture of the sticker before he placed it:

I just noticed in the picture the one latch is open, so they don't look centered. We lined them up off the latch on both cases, so they are the same. It would be next to impossible to make the circle correct for where it lays around the corner, so you end up laying the point of the tuning fork, then splicing the end of the circle to meet it. Harder to explain than to do. The inside of the case he just cut off a few inches in where it can't be seen.

... I thought the stock screens could not be adjusted but when I put on the CalSci it seemed like I could move the stock screen up or down about one inch, is this true-? I'll find out in the morning, oh yea ...

Yes, the screen can be mounted at different heights, depending on which holes in the screen and in the brackets you use. I currently have my stock screen mounted as high as it can go, but am still getting some buffeting (I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam).

One of those would look great on the back of a helmet, for those of us who sport the bland variety.

I made and fitted some wind deflection. I've found the handguards a it deficient when compared to the VStrom guards I had on my FJR , so I set too and made some extensions and some side shields. Its a bit DIY, but hey work.

I think I would ditch the muffler cover... and let the Akrapovic shine!

Any difference in resonance under acceleration after gutting the cat?

Was concerned that there would be. No difference at all. Was very pleased with that.. Did reduce heat which was the goal.

If you have previously tracked your gas mileage I would like to know if there is a difference.
