Derek Weaver 1500# lift with extension for length and also width. Pneumatic/hydraulic pump. Deck height goes up to 42". That and price were the main reasons I got it as I am 6'3". I think I have had it 10 yrs. Cost at that time was $1200 shipped and dropped off at my driveway. One of the best things I ever spent money on and especially as I am 60 now and I don't jump up and down like I used too. If I do any work on a bike... even just cleaning it... it's on my lift.

Yeah great piece of kit, I think I will buy the width extension in the future so that I can put the mower and other machines on it. Thanks!

Yes, that would be nice. They also are immensely helpful as now I comfortably can ride any bike up onto it with ease because I have a place to put my foot down. Also I had to lube the threads on the vise clamp. Made a big difference in ease of use. Now I replaced the clamp with a Condor Chock, trailer only model. Ride up, tire locks in chock and I get off and strap the bike for stability without worrying about it tipping over. In fact the S10 has been there now for 2 days just sitting in the chock. I remove the chock from the lift when I work on front end stuff... Forks, tires. No more trying to push a bike up on the lift backwards for that kind of work.

Note that’s a great idea! Replacing the vice with the roll in chock! I’m going to do that!

So what’s wrong with the Vice ? I very rarely use the Vice but it seems to work fine when I do use it.
Nothing is wrong with the vice. The Condor Chock is easier and safer in my opinion for two main reasons.
1. Much easier to ride the bike up on the lift and right into the chock which then holds your bike upright. You get off without having to use a kickstand.
2. Since the bike is held upright as you look at it without holding it... all you do then is get your safety straps out to more securely hold the bike upright while you're working on it. No more balancing a bike while screwing in the vice to hold the bike.
3. With 4 thumb screws I can remove the chock entirely. Because of that feature I can now do front wheel work, Forks, etc without trying to muscle my bikes up backwards on the lift. There are no obstructions to the front tire.
4. Without the vice or the chock on the lift it is a simple matter of parking a bike on the lift as I have multiple bikes. Therefore when the lift isn't in service it is not wasted floor space. I don't worry about the vice being in the way. I just have to be sure not to drop a wheel off the front. Easily done... or I just ride up the lift and into the chock and then I get off. Bike is parked... so safety, ease of use and being able to do front end work without pushing a bike backwards up the ramp are the main reasons I swapped to a Condor Chock.

True. There’s nothing wrong with the vice. It just becomes a balancing act when rolling the bike up and doing it up to hold the wheel.
Although it could play differently when putting the S10 up on the centre stand as it will pull out of the wheel chock.
I might need to think so more on this…

So to take care of this concern you have two different scenarios.
1. Remove chock from the lift via the 4 thumb screws in less than a minute. Ride bike up on lift. Then put bike on centerstand. I do this when working on the front wheel or forks. For safety I also put a small jack under the engine and lift enough to keep weight on the rear tire
2. Put in chock, use small jack and lift the rear of the bike if doing work on the rear tire.
This is the lift we have been talking about.

This is the small jack that I included in my original order. (WAS $110 IN 2014 AND BIG LIFT WAS 1200) Wondered if I would need it. I use it all the time. Comes with attachments to lift bikes by the cross member in front of the rear wheel. I use some extruded harder foam between it and the bike. Used to use a 2x4 but the foam is much better.

Well, it’s a rainy day here in Nor Cal so I thought I’d change the coolant and clean the radiator on my ’12 Super T. No temperature issues at all but with 85K miles I figured it could probably use a good cleaning. And I was correct… found about ~15% (in red) of the radiator area was at least partially blocked by bugs and dirt. This was along the inner-most part of the radiator where things would naturally collect. However, a good soak in warm soapy water and a gentle blast of water and air along with new coolant and I was back in business.
Regards,
Mr. BR

Swapped out the rear tire as I wanted the more knobby tire for Georgia in a couple of weeks. For some reason that tire fought me the whole way... but it got done. Everything cleaned and back together. Monday the front gets swapped out.
I took it out of the chock. Yep, the Helibar setbacks allows the bars to hit the new tank just before you hit full lock... so the Rox Risers will have to go on. I thought about just putting a rubber bumper on the tank... but no, I want full steering geometry.

Took the tail off and wired in a power connector into the taillights. Then wired in a usb charger thru the luggage box. Really wanted a way to charge my phone and radio, without having it on the handlebars. Woo!

Yesterday I looked at that MotoZ tire and decided to just quit trying to get every mile out of a tire and I ordered a new one. Will be here by Wednesday evening. So Thursday it will get put on.
