Upgraded to 2014 clutch basket and reset air screws. Night and day difference....no more 3000rpm groan, vibes reduced 75% and no more off-idle hiccup.

...and I've got the "Worlds Most Expensive Ashtray" to show for it :)
My old clutch basket has been sat in the garage for about 5 years, I’m not sure what I’m saving it for. I suppose I now need to take up smoking.

Last Saturday I installed a NOCO NLP14 lithium battery. My 2016 OE Yuasa finally signed off. Topped the NOCO off out the box and flattened the positive terminal wire connector to get a good fit on the new battery's fancy post. Used one included 17mm spacer and installation was good to go. Performance-wise, nothing negative to report so far. Cranks fast and I shaved off 5+ lbs; and any bit helps with this heavy a** armored personnel carrier. Lol!

Plenty o' spacers included.

I suppose as batteries go, it looks good! I really like the terminal connection options.

Took about 15 minutes to top it off out the box.

Vs. the 2.58 lbs weight of the NOCO NLP14.

Positive wire connector flattened out.

Compact and light. Now I feel like I have to lighten up the other side and to the rear. Maybe an Akrapovic slip-on will be a nice weight loss companion for the NOCO battery :D

Nice I put one one a month or two back so far it’s been great.
Thats what I need to do to mine, battery getting old. Will be installing one of those.
It helps in weight loss considering all the weight I have added with armor and protection I'm sure she is a 700lb'er and no longer a 600lb'er motorcycle LOL.
Actually she on a constant diet, every time she goes down the gouges, paint removal diet she on works, but very slow at removing real weight.
She no longer a beauty queen with a prom dress, she's more like a battered women.
I'm so sorry you keep tripping and falling. She's abit of a klutz.

Like the longevity and power. The weight is a bonus.

Introducing NOCO Lithium - It's better than lead-acid in almost every way. No sulfation. Requires no activation, no acid, no maintenance, and no water needed. And it comes fully charged and ready to install.
Insane Performance - Delivers over 500-amps of starting power, over 50,000 starts, and over 2,000 charge cycles, blowing away its lead-acid rivals. Simply put, it's 2X more power, 10X more starts, and 5X longer life.

And did you put the O'rings in the coils?
I need to ask… O rings in the coils?
I’m curious as to whether this is to replace ones there from the factory or additional ones to overcome a shortfall in the original design.
It’s me wondering if I need to put some in

the oem rings seal "inside" the well... the forum rings (because a user came up with it and shared it)... they seal the pencil "above" and against the valve cover...

This likely came about as a way to stop water ingress into the plug wells, usually wells 1&2 are the ones affected. In my experience a fender extender also stops water ingress. I’ve had no indications of water getting in since I fitted one about 25k or so miles ago. That’s 2 plug changes and one mid term check.

Just out of curiosity: what happens when water gets in there?
Both of my TDMs dislike the rain & start running on one piston with the other cutting in & out & sometimes shutting down completely.
I’ve sealed plug connections all over the place but not there…

The first symptom of water in the wells is that….the high voltage, instead of being discharged to ground by the electrode…is discharged against the motor in the well….another problem is rust. The rust on the tip of the spark plug generates resistance (bad conductivity), and makes the high voltage find an easier path, the block….and the other problem of rust is that the spark plug gets stuck in the thread, and when you want to take it out, it breaks inside
