very nice indeedDecided to make Nav Bar Stabilizers . Made them from 10ga S/S. Decided to modify the profile as I didn't like how the outer clamp wouldn't engage the 3 holes in the bracket. The bracket sits in a square recess underneath the adjustment knob. Works great. Added some machine turning for some bling, also installed winglets while I was at it.View attachment 94565View attachment 94566

just noticed Continental motorcycle tires come with a free 3 year flat tire towing plan, seems like a pretty good incentive to consider Continental Motorcycle Tires.Currently out on the COBDR. Very little service. Wanted to say ‘in the moment’ that the Motoz adventure tires are amazing. The wear, the traction, so far- unbelievable. I’ll post some photos when I get back.
We road about 20 miles of sand today. Then moved back up into the mountains. Reached 12,500’ and then proceeded to come across many water crossings. Some are 75-100’ feet across. Several are deep. The tires so far have been Super Stars.
Probably going to be my new forever ADV tires.
There was a Conti motorcycle tire recall earlier this year, hopefully the affected tires are out of circulation in the retail market. But I would consider them anyway, they seem to get favorable reviews.just noticed Continental motorcycle tires come with a free 3 year flat tire towing plan, seems like a pretty good incentive to consider Continental Motorcycle Tires.
The GIVI skid plate is still available. Just recently bought one for my € Tenere. I found it by far the best value for a frame mounted skid plate. It is not off road bombproof like Jaxon's or T-Rex but more than meets my needs for mostly road use.OK, I understand that if a vehicle gets discontinued, aftermarket part companies will roll back production. But, considering that nobody seems to have skid plates for the T-12 available right now . . . . I'd think that I, as a manufacturer with the required assembly lines, would keep a number of the more popular items in stock. Yeah, I know, "supply line issues". But for skid plates?
Now that the coils have been removed, it is time to place an o-ring to prevent future water ingress. The tightening torque is not “approximate”… the torque adjustment makes the pressure washer with the right tension and makes the electrodes align with the intake air inlet…(according to what is seen in video)Just done my first ever spark plug and air filter change on the XT. I think I used every tool I own to undo the air box screws and the stick coil bolts. Any that worked initially only did so for a small amount of movement and then it was switch to a different method for the next few turns of the bolt.
I used this you tube video as a guide, so thank you to Bill Pacheco
